FOUR ON THE FLOOR – SEBASTIEN VEZINA OF GROUND CONTROL AUDIO

The Guitar Knobsblog

What are your four ‘must-have’ pedals? That is what we ask our guests to share with you in our Four On the Floor podcast segment.

Ground Control Audio makes some pretty essential pedal including the famed pair of boosts – The Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi. YOWZA! If you are not familiar with Ground Control Audio do yourself a favor and check them out. They gave us a fantastic interview too! You can hear the episode for yourself right here. Check out these choices for their Four On The Floor.

1. MXR Carbon Copy – Analog Delay M169

“I’ve had this for years. It actually replaced one that I wore out. I have had many delay pedals in the past. This one is small and sounds really warm. Super easy to use and very affordable. It’s great.”

2. TC electronics – Ditto X2 Looper

“This is a bigger than the V1, and has reverse and slow down features, which also I don’t really use much are cool. It’s great for writing new music especially if you are by yourself, or without another guitar player. I have spent hours just looping and looping and playing with all kinds of pedals.”

3. Emulator

“I use this at guitar shows. I needed a super small format to bring anywhere that I could play out of and make it sound like many different amp cabinets. Its super easy to use and has a lot of options. It’s different in that when you adjust something like the bass knob; it’s not that you are getting just more bass, It is actually “changing” the dimension of the cabinet and speaker set up.”

4. Southampton Pedals- Fifth Gear Overdrive

“One thing I have begun to love doing since starting to build pedals is trading pedals with other builders. I recently got this from Hamish at Southampton Pedals. I have been playing around with it a lot and this thing sounds really good.”
