1. God City Instruments – Riff Child Overdrive
“I really have been digging this pedal. My buddy Kurt Ballou builds these in Massachusetts. It’s kind of like his take on a boss overdrive and a boost all in one. I use it to push my tube amp slightly. You have a boost function, you have a gain knob and you have a high and low knob. It’s pretty simple. It’s just a four knob overdrive pedal and the aesthetics of are really cool too. That’s going to be on my board for a while.“

Epigaze Audio – Ascension Reverb
“This pedal has two functions. It has three different reverb modes—a hall, a shimmer with some cool artifacts behind the reverb, and a tremolo reverb. Then it has a separate button on the pedal for an underlying synth pad. And then the third button on the pedal controls the key that that pad is in which is pretty cool. There is also a fade knob on the side of the pedal that you can fade in, how much of the pad you want in your mix. Usually, I have that all the way up and I’ll use that to either solo over or just create more ambient noise if I’m playing chords or something. There’s a send and return on it too so there are different routing options you can do as well. It’s a great pedal.”
