The Guitar Knobsblog

What are your four ‘must-have’ pedals? That is what we ask our guests to share with you in our Four On the Floor podcast segment.

Scot makes solid pedals that sound great. period. If you are not familiar with SNK Pedals do yourself a favor and check him out. He gave us a fantastic interview too! You can hear the episode for yourself right here. Check out these choices for his Four On The Floor.

1. Electronic Audio Experiments – Sending Delay

“He (John Snyder) spent a lot of time on it and I talked to him a lot and while he was building it and it’s just THE delay, it’s going to stay on my board for the foreseeable future. I like a lot of delay pedals. I have a lot of delay pedals on my board right now actually, but a lot of them get cycled out and um, that’s the one that’s going to be sticking around. It’s got a really nice preamp in it and it gets a nice little bite to it and nice little overdrive–add the repeats and it’s just dirty enough. It’s a bigger footprint. It’s a closer to think of like a memory ran some kind of size. It just feels good, you know!”

2. Caroline Guitar Company – Kilobyte Lo Fi Delay

“It’s a different kind of dirty from the uh, the sending ’em I don’t like anything to clean with the delay and they’re both nice and dirty and I really liked the havoc is calling it on it. So yeah, that’s why it’s a pretty unique. I have several of Philip’s pedals and I use the heck out of them.”

3. Adventure Audio – Whateverb Reverb

“It’s got a great feature set, a great price point, it’s well built and never had a problem with it. This was actually my first adventure audio pedal. ”

4. Nerd Knuckle Effects – Lip Splitter Buffered ABY Switcher

“I have a series of amps set up, ready to play at all times right now and I like to be able to run more than one at a time and it’s perfect utility pedal to make that happen. It is a buffer-router-ground lift-phase inverter…pedal. I had him build it for me as just an A/B switcher so it’s not what he typically builds, but normally it’s an A/B/Y. It’s a perfect pedal for me.”
