FOUR ON THE FLOOR – DAVID FROM COVENANT CABLES

The Guitar Knobsblog

What are your four ‘must-have’ pedals? That is what we ask our guests to share with you in our Four On the Floor podcast segment.

As the founder of Covenant Cables david is a busy dude, but he still loves his pedals. If you are not familiar with Covenant Cables do yourself a favor and check them out. They gave us a fantastic interview too! You can hear the episode for yourself right here. Check out these choices for his Four On The Floor.

1. Damage Control – Liquid Blues Overdrive

“Before Strymon was Strymon they were called Damage Control. The pedals were gigantic and they had tubes in them and they glowed and they were cool. The Liquid Blues has been on my board for probably a decade now. It is an overdrive that has compression built in and is something that I absolutely need and is the first thing connected to my clean tone and is always on.”

2. Paul Cochrane -Tim Overdrive

“It’s a classic. It has everything I want, it does everything I need and now I’m a slave to it. there is just nothing else that compares to it. The two stages it has makes it super versatile. I’ve had this for at least eight years and I have to have it on my board at this point.”

3. BOSS – DD-20 Giga Delay

“Another mainstay for me. I have tried loads of other delays which sound great but the DD-20 has a girth to it on the analog setting that punches out a tone that I am just so used to at this point. The presets are really intuitive and simple.”

4. BOSS – RV-5 Reverb

“It is a very iconic pedal that a lot of people have. It has a modulate setting that I really love. It is great for people that want to play around with reverb a bit but not get lost.”
