FOUR ON THE FLOOR – SWINDLER EFFECTS

The Guitar Knobsblog

Four On The Floor is our new podcast segment in which we ask our guests to name their four must have pedals excluding tuners. Pretty fun right! If they are a pedal builder they cannot name their own pedals of course (sorry!).

Drew Swindle builds pedals at Swindler Effects. Really nice ones that he did not mention here. But when we interviewed him he was enthusiastic about sharing the ones he calls out here. We had a great interview which you can listen to with your own ears right here. Check out Drew’s solid choices for his Four On The Floor.

1. Earthquaker Devices – Palisades

“I like the 808 Tube Screamer style circuitry. This can cover all of your bases. Lots of options out of this. I like having an overdrive that can give me more picking dynamics, that will get more gainy as you pick harder. Typically I will run a overdrive always on with the gain about half way up. This allows me to dial back on my attack and get it as clean as I need to or slam it hard and it will pretty much do anything I need it to. Sometimes i will stack another one on top if i need something more for lead.”  Check out the Earthquaker Devices Palisades Overdrive

2. Strymon – Timeline

“I had an El Capistan before and probably like the sound of it better in certain situations, but the Timeline has so much functionality, flexibility and options you can get to on the fly that I don’t think Ii could live without it at this point.” Check out the Strymon Timeline Delay

3. Strymon – blueSky

“I didn’t want to dedicate too much real estate of my board to a big reverb, so i chose this one. I have a light reverb setting and a super heavy reverb setting on my favorite switch and it’s all I need. Perfect.” Check out the Strymon blueSky Reverb

4. Walrus Audio – Julia

“I’m getting to be a chorus and vibrato junky. This one does the job nicely.” Check out the Walrus Audio Julia Analog Chorus/Vibrato

Huge thanks to Drew Swindle for being a guest on our show. Please check out his fantastic range of pedals of his own design at Swindler Effects. We wish him continued success!
